Vecchio Cane is a tuscan hotel and vineyard established on a family-owned estate. I was tasked to create a unique visual identity that honors the estate‘s
heritage and surrounding culture with a contemporary vibe.
Vecchio Cane (VEK-ee-o KAH-ne) translates to “Old Dog” in italian to convey the sentiment of time and it’s passing, and the complicated desire to savor it. Vecchio Cane‘s wordmark took inspiration from a wine stain on a napkin, the edges bleed with differing weights.
